A framework supplier managing multiple process and commissioning projects for one of the UK’s leading water utility companies. The supplier was closely collaborating with the client’s Capital Delivery Team but required additional support to ensure that the designs from manufacturers were aligned with the client’s specifications and not over-engineered.

Challenge

The Framework supplier needed expertise to review design submissions from manufacturers, ensuring they met client requirements without unnecessary complexity or costs. The business had to strike a balance between meeting the client’s standards and avoiding over-engineering solutions, while integrating with the client’s internal teams and processes. With the initial projects also unknown in terms of their duration or number, the client didn’t necessarily want to employ a full-time resource to help with this – hence why Aqua-Tech’s Technical Services proposition was so appealing.

Approach

Aqua-Tech leveraged its in-depth knowledge of design, manufacturing, and project delivery processes to thoroughly review and refine the designs. Acting as a liaison between the supplier and the client’s internal teams, Aqua-Tech ensured seamless communication and project alignment.
