Job Description: Top end web-based testing of telemetry projects Completion of test documentation Hardware FAT and WAT testing of telemetry systems Software configuration of Telemetry outstations to clients exacting requirements including RTU code Modbus implementation                      Compilation of mimics and signal configuration listings for import to Client’s Top End system Working closely with Telemetry Engineers to assist with any project needs Preparation of test records and O&M documentation Responsibility of the telemetry workshop area. Good housekeeping of the test and stock areas. Working with the stores staff Based in the office and site activities to assist engineers Person Specification: A broad range of key skills are required, including: The Telemetry Technician must hold a full UK driving licence as the position could involve travel throughout Scotland The Telemetry Technician must be able to work independently or as part of a team The Telemetry Technician will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work efficiently in a team environment The Telemetry Technician will have good working knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures Able to integrate well into a team as well as work independently Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and design team Excellent written and oral communications skills Exceptional organisational skills Must be able to plan and prioritise workload effectively Excellent client service focus flexible approach to work Able to initiate dialog with wide range of personnel to obtain information and close issues Proactive in approach to work The candidate must live within a commutable distance from Edinburgh EH17, Cumbernauld G68 or Inverness IV1. This is a permanent role with a salary of £25,500 – £32,500 doe, with scope for progression in the company. What’s in it for you?
