Aqua-Tech Recruitment are working with a specialist electronics company that has developed a revolutionary range of proprietary products that can intelligently control and actively manage the operation of waste water pumping stations, eliminating blockages, protecting against failure and proactively managing the risk the spillage.
The development of the technology has led to major partnerships with global engineering and pump companies in both the UK and the USA, with data from the company devices being used to populate market leading cloud based apps.
The business is now approaching a major phase of expansion in both the UK and USA and requires a keen and committed graduate who would like to develop a career in an electronics workshop environment. This will entail learning the basics of electronic component assembly and manufacturer before progressing on to understand the software and programming capabilities of the devices, in order to be able to provide office based and potentially field based support and commissioning services. It is ideal for someone who wishes to work in a small, friendly team to learn, learning the requirements of the new digital devices and software technology that will soon be adopted across the water and waste water industry.
The role is predominantly office based, although due to current restrictions, and the desire to offer flexibility, working from home for some of the required hours may also be a possibility. Essential:
- Graduate with BEng preferably honours in Electronic and Electrical Engineering
- Experience with using hand or power tools
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge in power and control engineering – PID loops, control systems etc
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge in 3 phase motor theory
- Knowledge in microcontrollers
- Knowledge in PCB design
- Ability to program microcontrollers
Job will be hands on and less theory more thinking/acting on your feet. The role will develop from workshop/lab through to field service to project/application engineering. Laptop phone etc will be supplied.
